Playtest group · Taking names

Break it before everyone else does.

Closed builds, short waves, and a direct route from what you noticed to what we fix. If you have ever finished a survival game and immediately started listing what you would change, this is for you.

How it works

Short waves, real builds.

  • Tests run in waves, usually a weekend at a time, focused on one area: building, recruitment, combat, traversal, whatever is newest.
  • Builds are Windows PC only for now. Console testing comes much later.
  • Everything runs through Discord. Build links, instructions, known issues and the bug channel all live in the same place.
  • Feedback goes in as you play. A short form at the end, plus whatever you shout about in the channel while it is happening.
  • Fixes get posted in the changelog with the report that caused them. You will see your own bugs close.
  • Waves are capped. If you do not make the first one you stay on the list for the next.

Before you apply

What we need from you.

  • A Windows 10 or 11 PC that can handle a demanding open world. As a rough guide, a six core CPU, 16 GB of RAM and an RTX 2070 or better. These are estimates and they will firm up before the first wave.
  • A Discord account. That is where the group lives and there is no way around it.
  • Enough patience for rough edges. Placeholder art, missing audio, systems that are half wired up. That is the point.
  • Willingness to write things down. What you did, what you expected, what happened instead. Three lines beats a shrug.
  • Story content stays in the group. Some of what you will see is spoiler locked and we will ask you to keep it off social until we say otherwise.
  • No payment either way. You do not pay us, we do not pay you. You get the build early and your fingerprints on the game.
